Science for the People Archives
Science for the People: 1970–1989
The original Science for the People magazine published more than 100 issues before ceasing publication in 1989. Thanks to the donated time and efforts of original SftP members and organizers of the 2014 conference at UMass Amherst, the complete catalogue of Science for the People is available at the UMass Conference Website via high-resolution PDFs.
These PDFs have made possible a digitization project undertaken nationally by members of the revived organization to bring this content to a broader audience than ever before as we generate new content for the revived movement for radical science. Beginning with Volumes 2-5, this archive website is a growing repository of Science for the People's history and aims to provide related educational resources. Here, we present feature articles as they appeared in the original print magazine. These web-formatted archives are preserved complete with typographical errors and are available for reference and educational and activist use.
This project is ongoing and aims to make all of the original articles available in this fully searchable, sortable format. To join the digitization efforts, email magazine@scienceforthepeople.org.
